 The City of Vicksburg Parks and Recreation Department maintains 18 playgrounds and parks throughout the city. The Playgrounds and Parks are open to the public free of charge everyday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. between October and April and 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. between April and September. While enjoying the many opportunities the park system has to offer, please be aware of the following regulations for park use:Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in parks Dogs must be on a leash Motorized vehicles are not permitted off roadways and are to park in designated areas only Littering, dumping, firearms, golfing, and excessive noise are not permitted Bike use is restricted to roadways and trails Charcoal use is restricted to barbecue grills, and no open fires are permitted Your observance of these rules will help to make the playgrounds and parks a safe and enjoyable experience for all who visit.
