City of Vicksburg Patrol DivisionThe Patrol Division of the City of Vicksburg Police Department consists of over forty uniformed men and women who patrol the City of Vicksburg to insure the public safety of all citizens. This largest division of the force represents the front-line of police service and protection and serve as a liaison between the department and the people they serve. Their vigilant presence throughout the city 24 hours of every day helps to deter criminal activity. These officers respond to emergency calls for assistance and reports of impending crimes or crimes in progress. They also serve warrants, make arrests, and assist detectives or other divisions with investigations or assignments where safety is in question.
