 The Vicksburg swimming pool and sports complex was constructed to Olympic specifications to serve recreational, instructional & competitive events in water sports. Construction was completed in 1996. The complex consists of an olympic size pool and a baby pool for the younger swimmers. It is paid for by taxpayers of Vicksburg. The facility is dedicated to those who enjoy the sport of swimming.

- Children 12 years old & younger MUST be accompanied by an ADULT at least 18 years old! (our lifeguards are not baby sitter's)
- NO REFUND for INCLEMENT WEATHER! The weather is monitored with Live Radar, Sky Scan Lighting Detector and a Weather Radio.
- ONLY swim suits or swim trunks allowed! MUST be swim suit material, Nylon. NO COTTON material will be allowed in the pool! (this means no t-shirts, cut offs, tank tops, etc...) Children who are not yet toilet trained MUST wear swim diapers!
- NO REFUNDS on the COKE MACHINES! The City does not own these machines and we can not refund money lost. They will have to contact THE COKE COMPANY!
- NO REFUND on swimming if the patron has been IN THE WATER for ANY amount of time, due to INCLEMENT WEATHER OR ANY REASON FOR CLOSURE of pool!
- NO HORSEPLAY
- NO RUNNING IN POOL AREA
- NO DIVING
- ONLY SWIMMERS WHO CAN PASS SWIM TEST are allowed in 8 ft. section.
- NO PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION (no hugging, kissing, touching etc...)
- NO FLOTATION ACCESSORIES (excluding life jackets) ALLOWED IN MAIN POOL AT
- ANY TIME!! These devices, inner-tubes, air mattresses, can cause hazards for unattended children
- and may produce vision difficulties for lifeguards
- NO PIGGYBACK OR SHOULDER RIDES
- NO GUM CHEWING WHILE IN POOL
- NO FOUL LANGUAGE
- NO BOTTLES OR FOOD ALLOWED IN COMPLEX
- NO COOLERS
- NO LOITERING
The Vicksburg City Pool Lifeguards are trained to act and respond to any Land OR Water Emergencies! Lifeguards are trained to enforce pool rules and ensure patrons safety. |

Vicksburg City Pool will hold registration for the 2012 season of American Red Cross "Learn to Swim" program on May 16 thru May 19 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. each day at City Pool. Cost per student is $12 dollars for a two week session.
Dennis R. Butler, 54, started playing tennis a few years ago and immediately loved the sport. He has organized most of the tennis players in Vicksburg, Miss., and became the captain of four different USTA League teams. In his first year as captain three years ago, he took his 6.0 team to the state championships, and this past year, all four of his teams qualified for states. He organizes his tennis schedule around his flexible work schedule as an environmental engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers and plays or goes to practice with his team almost every day.
