The Accounting and Payroll department's major tasks involve the maintenance of the City's accounting systems, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. It is the departments responsibility to assist City personnel in the preparation of budgets and to monitor actual revenue and expenses in regard to those budgets. The department uses internal auditing and controls in monitoring all City assets.
