Mayor Winfield is pleased to welcome the Black Softball Circuit tournament to Vicksburg this weekend. “We are excited to host nearly 50 men and women softball teams in our community this weekend,” said Winfield.  Winfield believes this weekend’s tournament will yield a multi-million dollar economic impact within the City of Vicksburg.  “We want to encourage the public to come out and enjoy the very competitive play of teams from Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.  I believe this unique opportunity adds more weight to our community’s interest in securing funding for the proposed Sports Complex,” said Winfield.  The tournament headquarters will be located at 257 Halls Ferry Road in Vicksburg.  The games will begin at 9 a.m.
