In support of "National Crime Victims Rights Week", the Vicksburg Police Department will be sponsoring their 5th annual "Walk against Crime...Stop the Violence" Walk/Rally on Saturday April 12, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The public is asked to meet on the steps of City Hall to walk and show their support for victims of crimes such as home invasions, assault, rape, child abuse, elderly abuse, bullying, domestic violence, etc. The walk will begin at City Hall and end at the steps of the Warren County Courthouse (there will be no hills to walk up or down during the walk). Family members who have been affected by these types of crimes are encouraged to participate. All area churches and support groups are also encouraged to attend.
